What is the healthiest energy drink?

energy drink
regg asked:

I’m 17, and I need a little boost of energy everytime before I workout, Would it be bad to drink a “redbull”, or a “go girl”, maybe a protein shake?
Or maybe 10 egg whites?
Would the energy drink give me heart problems if I drink it for a period of 2 weeks or so, mostly everyday?

    Keep away from the caffine loaded drinks such as red bull, especially before exercise. Drink a lucozade drink or a sports water type drink;
    You should not keep drinking it. Its loaded with sugar (thats why its an energy drink), yes it will indirectly affect your heart;

    The so-called energy drinks are mostly sugar and caffein. Neither of these is going to give you the boost you want. A protein shake probably wouldn’t hurt, but it won’t give you an immediate boost either. 10 egg whites is far more protein than your body needs. Try a small, like 8 ounces or less, glass of fruit juice.

    Drink more water and eat better. There is no sense in harming your heart with that crap and at 17 you should have plenty of energy.

    I like sugar-free Red Bull, but Tab is my favorite.
