I am an athlete and I would suggest vitamin water or something rich in vitamin C!

I don’t believe in commercial energy drinks. I think they are worthless and even harmful.

I would recommend a few glasses of freshly squeezed lemon in water with no sugar. Try it, it will make you feel great and it is a healthy natural alternative to the hyped up “energy drinks.”

Well speaking personally and only as a spectator I like a drink made up 50/50 of scotch and port. It really does give you a lift.

    make your own.
    8 oz water
    3 tsp sugar
    1 tsp unsweetened kool aid
    1/4 tsp salt

i’m a varsity cheerleader, and the recipe was given to me by my coach. it works a treat, really gets your energy levels up. gatorade and powerade etc have way too much sugar in them, so you’re high one minute, then down the next.
you can also change the kool aid for lemon juice, orange juice or whatever flavorings you like =)
