Don’t go with regular, mainstream energy drinks then.

Look up those “5 hour energy shots”. Seriously. Yes, they have less caffiene, but sometimes that’s a good thing as that means you won’t get knocked out (I’ve had this happen, too much caffiene can make a body overreact the other way). Get one of those, and drink the whole thing, washing it down with a full glass of water, at least 12-16 ounces.

Then make sure you stay clear of the “sugar rush” types of food: candy, sodas, cake, cookies, etc. When you eat, eat ordinary food and try to balance out the carbs.

The idea here is that yes, you need to stay awake, but what’s more important than the boost or lift, is making sure you *don’t* crash. Too much caffiene too soon can make you crash. Too much fiber-free carbs can make you crash. So go lightly but steadily on the stimulation. And stay hydrated–your body will need the water to actually *use* the stuff. Drink at least a cup (8 ounces) of water hourly while using the energy shot.

I hope this helps. ^__^ Good luck to you.
