How long is an energy drink “drinkable” after it’s expiration date?

energy drink

I received a few cases of an energy drink that says it expires in 12/2007. Is this still okay to drink? Will it make me sick? Thanks!

I really don’t think you should drink it. They put expiration dates on things for a reason. There’s a chance it might be okay, but do you really want to take that chance.

It could make you sick yes, but it depends. If it is a monster, I wouldn’t drink it, but if it is a drink like Red Bull, they are known to be okay long after the expiration date.

Expiration dates on canned goods generally indicate when it’s best to eat things by for best taste and texture. There’s no danger of eating something past that date, it just won’t taste as good.

I think you should be fine. To be extra safe, just try a little at first!

It will probably be okay after the expiration date for like a week or so. Possibly two or three, but I wouldn’t chance it. It wouldn’t kill ya, but you might get sick to your stomach.
