energy drinks
PlaneCMR asked:

I want to lose weight by drinking energy drinks (red bull, amp) with slim fast meal bars. Just seen the commercials. I would like to start this diet plan for 12 weeks. I don’t know alot about energy drinks. Is this harmful?

If your only drinking energy drinks and eating enrgy bars then yes I think it will lower your health a bit unless your getting all the vitamins and such you need in just the bars and drink

theyre not really that harmful, but if u drink them and dont eat theyll make u feel woozy, also they contain a lot of caffeine so if u dont really drink coffee only have like half a bottle of red bull at first because it will make u jittery and might even raise ur blood pressure and give u a headache… .but energy drinks done suppress appetite so its not like Ur ganna eat less if u drink them, if anything they have a lot of calories so try sugar free red bull, but yeah i dont think this is a safe way to lose weight

    Ummm……..
Energy drinks are high in calories and will make you put on weight no matter how much you starve yourself and excersize. Try using meal replacements or a low fat low carb and low calorie diet with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and general excersize. Having a diet plan you can stick to will be much more productive and as for the energy drinks they will make you put on weight.

Energy/protein bars and energy drinks are a KILLER for anyone who wants to lose weight! They are packed with sugar, and even the sugar free ones are so loaded with calories. Think about it, if you want to lose weight, you have to keep you calories under 1500 (2000 if you’re tall/bigger built). Another thing that will help is exercise. It burns calories, fat, and builds muscle. Muscle burns fat. Exercise also increases your metabolism which helps you lose weight.
Fruit juice/vegetable juice and water are your best choices instead of energy drinks. And get fruit juices with NO SUGAR.

NO. Make sure you drink the no calorie ones. (sugar free) Won’t make you loose weight but, they really help to get you motivated to work out.

I wouldn’t recommend it. The regimen you describe is a poor program, at best. It is more likely to do you more harm, than good, in the long run.
    Try this,

If they have a lot of sugar and other crap then a definite “YES!”. If you want a drink that will burn calories but give you a ton of energy, try something with mangosteen. I listed the drink I used every single day for a year below in the sources. I now sell it, actually!
